The Sarabi is a large dog also known as the Sarabi Mastiff or the Iranian Mastiff or as the Persian Mastiff. This is a breed that originated from Iran (Sarab). The breed was used to guard livestock such as cattle and sheep. This is an ancient Molossus breed. This breed is the National Dog of Iran.

What Does A Sarabi Look like?

These are large dogs with a big head and heavy bones. The Sarabi has a short, dense coat that is black, fawn or sable in color. These dogs also have white patches on their chests.
